Jun-Aug (1st Wednesday of each month) – New Buffalo Classic Car Cruise ~ 6-9pm, N. Whittaker Street

  • located in downtown New Buffalo ~ Live music, over 40+ classic cars, family fun

June 1st – Sept 7th (weekly) - New Buffalo Farmers Market ~ 4-8pm, Corner of N. Whittaker/E. Merchant Streets

  • stroll through downtown New Buffalo each Thursday night and enjoy over 50 produce/food, art/craft vendors, food trucks, live music, and family activities

June 29th – July 4th – Independence Celebration Week ~ Public Beach and Lions Park

  • Weds - Thurs – 50% Surf /Paddleboard rentals at the beach by Third Coast Surf
  • Sun the 2nd – 8-11am – Big Smiles 5K run at Lions Park (registration and fee required)
  • Monday, 3rd–7-12pm - LaPorte Symphony, Food and Fireworks at Lions Park (free for public)

August 11th - 13th – 33rd Annual New Buffalo Ship and Shore Festival ~ see S&S page for times and locations

  • located in downtown New Buffalo - A three-day celebration of music, classic cars, wine/beer, art/craft marketplace, food vendors, kids activities/contests, and 5k run along the lakefront (Music line up on Ship & Shore TBA)

October 7th, Saturday - 12th Annual Harvest & Wine Fest ~ Noon-9pm, Lions Park (across for New Buffalo Public Beach)

  • In our 12th year, H&W Fest features over 21 regional wineries, craft ciders, and craft beers to enjoy, live music, art/craft exhibitors and food vendors (Music line up on H&W TBA)

October 29th - New Buffalo Halloween Parade and Trick-or-Treat ~ downtown New Buffalo

Saturday, July 15th - Sixth Annual Full Throttle Throwdown!

  • While you are here, check out the hot rods, street car, show bikes, and customs, listen to great live music from North of Memphis, and lay eyes on the beautiful models in our pinup contest! And bring the little ones for the pedal car drags! BUT WAIT… There’s MORE! Giveaways and door prizes will be awarded to a lucky few, and food and drink along with vendors will be on site! Saturday, July 15 - Harbor Country Rib Fest

  • Don’t miss this judged Rib cook-off and People’s Choice Salad Contest! Taste the entries and vote for your favorite. Good food, great conversation and a fun family event. Tickets required pre-event and available by calling 269-426-1446.

Saturday, July 29 - Cocktails at The Grand Cottage

  • The 8th Annual “Cocktails at the Grand Cottage” fundraiser for Michiana Humane Society will feature scrumptious appetizers, cocktails and amazing items in a live auction. It’s all to support the care of the nearly 1,200 unwanted animals the shelter takes in each year. Tickets are $100 per person. RSVP by Monday, July 24, 2017 by calling 219-872-4499 or order online.

Halloween Parade - Trick or Treat

October 29, 2017 to October 29, 2017

Judging will start at 1pm (EST) and the Halloween Parade will commence at 1:45pm in downtown New Buffalo. The route will start on N. Thompson St. and conclude at the City of New Buffalo’s Fire Station.

Trick or Treating will be from 2:30-4:30pm. Come out and cheer on the kids, have treats ready and celebrate Halloween the New Buffalo way!

The New Buffalo Halloween Parade is a pro bono community event organized and managed by the Halloween Committee of volunteers in the area. Any donations or sponsorships are appropriated to the City of New Buffalo Halloween Fund and activities surrounding this event. ​Thank you for helping to support these events!

Kick off the holidays on Saturday, Nov 25th with Santa visits, a parade, gingerbread decorations, cocoa/cookies, crafts, tree lighting, caroling, and much more presented by the NBBA. Gnome on the Roam kicks off the season with this fun activity - search and find Gnomes at New Buffalo businesses and enter for a give-away prize valued over $400!!!! Gnome on the Roam

November 24, 2017 to December 23, 2017

“Gnome of the Roam” hunt is fun way to shop, support, and explore our area while enjoying hunting for the little guys at each participating location throughout the holiday season. Cards can be picked up at each businesses that will host one of 30 Gnomes. Located the Gnome at each location, have the business mark it off your list and when your card is complete be entered to win a holiday gift basket filled with goodies from our local retailers and services, valuing over $450.
