Jun-Aug (1st Wednesday of each month) – New Buffalo Classic Car Cruise ~ 6-9pm, N. Whittaker Street

  • located in downtown New Buffalo ~ Live music, over 40+ classic cars, family fun

May 31st – Sept 6th (weekly) - New Buffalo Farmers Market ~ 4-8pm, N. Whittaker Street

  • stroll through downtown New Buffalo each Thursday night and enjoy over 50 produce/food, art/craft vendors, food trucks, live music, and family activities

June 28th – July 5th – Independence Celebration Week ~ Public Beach and Lions Park

  • Thurs-Fri – 50% Surf /Paddleboard rentals at the beach by Third Coast Surf
  • Tuesday the 3rd–7-12pm - LaPorte Symphony, Food and Fireworks at Lions Park (free for public)

  • NOTICE: New Buffalo Ship & Shore will not be held for 2018. The NBBA is in the process of re-structuring Ship and Shore for 2019. Our hope is to create an event(s) that our community, residents and visitors alike will enjoy yearly, while meeting the New Buffalo Business Association’s new strategic goals. August 10th - 12th - MI Largest Garage Sale

  • Friday, A/ug 10th - Classic Car Show and live music in Lions Park
  • starts in New Buffalo and follows US 12 to Detroit MI

We are sorry to confirm that 2018 Ship & Shore Fest has, in fact, been cancelled for 2018 due to challenges with location and funding this year. The New Buffalo Business Association is still in the process of completing the rest of our 2018 events as part of the overall goals of our organization. We will keep you posted with more details as they are made available….stay turned!

13th Annual Harvest & Wine Festival

October 6, 2018 to October 6, 2018

In celebration of the harvest in Southwest Michigan, this one day event boasts award-winning wines from regional vineyards along craft beers and hard-ciders, all under one roof! Join us Noon to 9pm (EST) at Lions Beachfront Park, downtown New Buffalo. Come rain or shine, the event is tented so you can come out and stay all day! $5 entrance fee per adult, kids under 12 are free! Follow us on Facebook for updates and announcements:

Happenings at the Fest…

  • Plenty of kids activities including; bounce house, pumpkin painting, face painting, and more
  • Over 50 vendors offering handcrafted goods, food products and produce for you to purchase throughout the event. Stop by and shop for: amish cheeses, dips, mums, homemade honey and jams, oils and vinegar, chocolate, carmel corn and carmel apples. Our handcraft artists will be selling handcrafted jewelry, lotions/oils, clothing, photography, wine accessories, yard art, blown glass, leather goods, lamps/pillows and other great items.
  • Food vendors and confectioners, along with nonalcoholic beverages and apple cider available.

Our Music Line-up will keep your toes tapping and dancing the night away… (2018 schedule TBA)

Halloween Parade - Trick or Treat

Calling all Spooks and Goblins

Enjoy a fun-filled Halloween day with a costumed parade and trick-ro-treating with the business and community of New Buffalo

Halloween Parade; Arrival for judging at 2pm, judging and prize awards at 2:30, parade steps off at 3:00pm through downtown New Buffalo. Afterwards enjoy hearing “Trick-or-Treat” thought the neighborhoods in our town from 3:30-5:30pm.

Kick off the holidays on Saturday, Nov 24th with Santa visits, a parade, gingerbread decorations, cocoa/cookies, crafts, tree lighting, caroling, and much more presented by the NBBA. Gnome on the Roam kicks off the season with this fun activity - search and find Gnomes at New Buffalo businesses and enter for a give-away prize valued over $400!!!! Gnome on the Roam

November 23, 2018 to December 23, 2018

“Gnome of the Roam” hunt is fun way to shop, support, and explore our area while enjoying hunting for the little guys at each participating location throughout the holiday season. Cards can be picked up at each businesses that will host one of 30 Gnomes. Locate the Gnome at each location, have the business mark it off your list and when your card is complete be entered to win a holiday gift basket filled with goodies from our local retailers and services, valuing over $450.
