Nothing goes hand-in-hand with fall than the harvesting of plump crops and juicy orchards in the Midwest. In preparation and celebration of this plentiful season, New Buffalo Business Association in southwest Michigan and Four Winds Casino are playing host to the third annual New Buffalo Harvest & Wine Fest Oct. 10.

The festival will take place from noon to 10 p.m. in Lion’s Park, 101 Marquette Drive, adjacent to the boat launch and beach parking lot in downtown New Buffalo.

The Harvest & Wine Fest will offer everything local — from live music to world-class wines from southwest Michigan, tasty fare from area restaurants to a copious farmer’s market, and hayrides to a pumpkin patch. There will also be free activities for the children.


Participating wineries include The Round Barn Winery, Free Run Cellars, Tabor Hill, St. Julian and Domaine Berrien. Round Barn Brewery will be at the helm of the beer tent with its Harvest Wheat and Kolsch brews. Talent includes Lady Sunshine & the X Band, Duke Tumatoe, Katie Todd and Chad Holmes.


Suggested donation at the gate is $5 per person and free for children 12 and younger.
